Mahama will win 2024 general election – Awutu Bereku Chief

The Paramount Chief of the Awutu Traditional Area has foreseen triumph for the National Democratic Congress’s Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, in the upcoming 2024 general election.
Nai Abokiadi Wyettey Agyemang Otabil III expressed confidence that nothing will hinder John Dramani Mahama from assuming the presidency of Ghana on January 7, 2025, as all signs point to his return to power.
The Paramount Chief implored Mr. Mahama to remember the needs of the Awutu Traditional Area if he secures the presidency, emphasizing the area’s lack of development.
He highlighted the absence of a fire service station, making it challenging to combat outbreaks, and raised concerns about the poor condition of many roads in the region.
Additionally, the Chief praised the Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya West Constituency, Gezzelle Tetteh, for her commendable work and encouraged residents to support her for a second term.
These remarks were made during a courtesy visit by John Dramani Mahama to the Awutu Traditional Council as part of his two-day tour in the Central Region.
In response to the Chief’s appeal, Mr. Mahama assured that he would prioritize development in the area if elected.
He acknowledged that various projects, including roads, were already in progress during his previous term, but the current NPP government has neglected them.
Mr. Mahama pledged to re-award these projects for completion.
Furthermore, he outlined his proposed 24-Hour Economy policy, stating that its implementation would lead to the construction of numerous factories in the Central and Western regions, providing employment opportunities for the youth.
