Baba Sadiq donates food items to constituents ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr

Accra, Ghana — The 2024 NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Okaikwei Central and Ghana’s Ambassador-designate to Nigeria, Baba Sadiq, has donated bags of rice, boxes of cooking oil and other essential food items to support Muslim party members and constituents ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
The items have been officially received and taken into custody by the Zongo Caucus Co-ordinator, Abu Abass, on behalf of the Okaikwei Central Constituency Executive Committee.
Distribution of the items will commence from Thursday evening, and will be carried out by the Constituency Executive Committee in collaboration with the various Ward Executives across the constituency to ensure fair and orderly sharing among beneficiaries.
Party members and constituents are kindly advised that any feedback regarding the distribution should be channelled through the respective Ward Executives or the Zongo Caucus Co-ordinator.
Speaking on the gesture, Baba Sadiq indicated that the donation forms part of his longstanding annual tradition of supporting party members and constituents during major religious festivities, particularly during Eid-ul-Fitr.
He also recalled that in December 2025, he made a similar donation to Christian party members and constituents in the constituency to support their Christmas celebrations, emphasizing his commitment to unity and inclusivity among people of all faiths.
Baba Sadiq further announced that his annual Sallah Festival and Kids Party will take place on Sallah Day in New Fadama, bringing together families and children across the constituency for a day of celebration and community bonding.
This year’s celebration will also feature performances by notable and major Ghanaian music headliners, who will add excitement to the festivities. The lineup of performing artistes will be officially announced on Monday.
The event, which has become a cherished tradition in the constituency, will feature fun activities for children and an opportunity for community members to share in the joy of the Eid celebrations.
Baba Sadiq extended his warm wishes to all Muslims observing the holy month of Ramadan and prayed for peace, unity and progress for Okaikwei Central and Ghana as a whole.
