Dr. Apaak to unveil massive education, infrastructure rollout in Builsa South

Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Clement Abas Apaak, will lead a major constituency development drive on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
The initiative, organized by his office, is expected to deliver a combination of education-focused interventions and critical infrastructure projects across the constituency.
The programme, themed “Empowering Our Future,” will take place at 9:00 AM and is set to attract high-profile government officials, including President John Dramani Mahama, who will serve as guest of honour.
A key highlight of the event is the commissioning of a six-unit classroom block at Gbedema, aimed at reducing overcrowding and improving learning conditions for students.
The project forms part of broader efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure in underserved communities.
In addition, students in Fumbisi will benefit from the donation of mathematical sets to support teaching and learning, particularly in core subjects.
The initiative is expected to ease the burden on families while enhancing academic outcomes.
To address logistical challenges in the education sector, motorbikes will also be presented to the Ghana Education Service in Fumbisi.
The move is intended to improve mobility for education officers and enhance supervision of schools across the district.
A large-scale furniture distribution forms another major component of the rollout, with 4,348 pieces of furniture set to be delivered to schools facing acute shortages.
The intervention is expected to create a more conducive learning environment for pupils.
The programme also includes a water project, with sod-cutting planned for the construction of 10 boreholes to improve access to clean drinking water in several communities.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include Upper East Regional Minister Donatus Akamugri Atanga and Builsa South District Chief Executive Ann Musah.
The initiative underscores a broader agenda to deliver quality education and build sustainable development within the Builsa South constituency.
