Dr. Clement Apaak donates 720 Mathematical Sets to BECE Candidates

Deputy Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak, has donated 720 mathematical sets to support candidates preparing for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in his district.
The items were officially presented to the District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service, where they were received on behalf of the Education Service by Mr. Stephen Akumzeyam. He expressed gratitude for the timely intervention and assured that the materials would be fairly distributed to all candidates across the district.
Speaking on the gesture, Mr. Akumzeyam noted that the intervention would not only ease the financial burden on parents but also increase the confidence of candidates as they approach the exams. “This support ensures that no student is left behind due to a lack of basic tools needed for the BECE,” he said.
According to education officials, the donation comes at a crucial time when some students and their families face financial challenges in getting essential examination materials.
Mathematical sets are a key requirement for subjects such as Mathematics and Integrated Science, making the support particularly impactful.
The initiative reflects Honorable Apaak’s continued commitment to improving access to quality education and supporting students to achieve academic excellence.
Over the years, he has been involved in several educational interventions aimed at improving teaching and learning outcomes within the ministry and beyond.
Beneficiary students and teachers have welcomed the donation, describing it as both thoughtful and timely. Many believe it will contribute positively to the performance in the upcoming examinations.
