Health Ministry opens recruitment for 36th batch of medical, dental officers

The Ministry of Health has opened recruitment for the 36th batch of medical and dental officers who have completed their house job.
The announcement, signed by Director of General Administration Frank Raji for the Minister, said the exercise is for medical officers and dentists who have completed their house job and have been verified by the Medical and Dental Council.
According to the ministry, the recruitment process will begin on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Eligible applicants are required to submit their applications through the ministry’s online recruitment portal and select their preferred districts for posting.
“The recruitment process will commence on Wednesday 8th July, 2026 at 10:00am,” the statement said.
The ministry indicated that available vacancies are under the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), Ahmadiyya Health Service, and the Mental Health Authority.
Qualified applicants have until Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. to complete and submit their applications.
The ministry also assured applicants that the exercise would be conducted fairly and urged them to disregard anyone demanding money in exchange for assistance.
“Kindly be informed that the recruitment process remains transparent,” the statement said.
It added: “Applicants are therefore advised to be cautious of fraudulent individuals who may claim to offer assistance for a fee. The Ministry advises all applicants NOT to make any payment for this process.”
The statement further announced that members of the 34th and 35th batches of medical and dental officers who previously applied but were not posted would also be allowed to participate in the current recruitment exercise.
However, it explained that their participation would be limited to their original regions of application, provided vacancies remain available.
The Ministry of Health encouraged all eligible applicants to follow the official application procedures and submit their applications within the stipulated period to be considered for placement under the available institutions.
