Mahama’s Reset Agenda yielding positive results across sectors – Anatu Bogobiri Esq

Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Anatu Anne Seidu Bogobiri Esq., says the government’s Reset Agenda is making steady progress across various sectors, with the results of its implementation gradually beginning to emerge.
Madam Bogobiri said despite public scrutiny of some government policies and projects, there was sustained confidence in the administration of President John Dramani Mahama and its development agenda.
“It is evident that steady progress is being made across sectors. Implementation is ongoing and the results are beginning to take shape gradually,” she said.
Her comments come amid growing public discussions around several major government initiatives, including GoldBod, fuel sector reforms and infrastructure projects under the Big Push programme.
She acknowledged that these initiatives had attracted scrutiny but said such public debate was expected in a democratic society.
“In recent weeks, various government initiatives such as GoldBod, fuel sector reforms, and major infrastructure projects including the Big Push initiative and the Kumasi Expressway have come under public scrutiny, as is normal in any vibrant democracy,” she said.
According to Madam Bogobiri, however, the criticism and differing views surrounding the initiatives should not be taken as a sign that public confidence in the administration has waned.
“What is however striking is the sustained public confidence in the administration of President John Dramani Mahama. Despite the diversity of opinions, a large section of Ghanaians continue to express faith in the Reset Agenda,” she said.
She therefore urged President Mahama to maintain his focus on delivering on the mandate given to his administration.
“President John Dramani Mahama should remain focused on delivering on his mandate. The Reset Agenda is strongly on course!” she said.
The Mahama administration assumed office in January 2025 following the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s victory in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The government has presented the Reset Agenda as its broad framework for addressing economic challenges, improving public services, creating employment and implementing reforms across key sectors.
GoldBod has been one of the administration’s major interventions in the gold trading sector, while the Big Push programme has placed infrastructure development, including major road projects, at the centre of the government’s development plans.
The Kumasi Expressway is among the infrastructure projects attracting attention, while reforms in the fuel sector have also generated public discussion as the government pursues its economic agenda.
Madam Bogobiri’s comments add to the ongoing debate over the government’s performance, with the NHIA DCEO maintaining that implementation is progressing and that the results of the Reset Agenda are gradually becoming evident across sectors.
