Benjamin Otoo cautions CLOGSAG members over purported appointments

The Acting President of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), Benjamin Otoo, has cautioned Regional and District Executives against recognizing or implementing purported new appointments within the Association, saying the matter is currently before the High Court.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, the Office of the Acting President of CLOGSAG said the appointments being circulated within the Association are disputed and their validity is awaiting determination by the High Court.
The office has therefore urged all Regional Executives, District Executives and members to disregard and refrain from implementing any notices, directives or administrative actions arising from the disputed appointments until the court delivers its decision.
“The purported appointments are disputed and their validity is before the High Court, hence Regional and District Executives should not recognize or implement the disputed appointments pending the Court’s determination,” he said.
Otoo also called on members to remain calm, law-abiding and committed to protecting the unity and institutional integrity of CLOGSAG.
He said the Office of the Acting President remains committed to protecting the Association’s institutional integrity, property and collective interests, while urging all stakeholders to exercise restraint and respect the judicial process.
