Police react to fake news of Dampare’s removal
Ghana Police Service has reacted to the media publications that the Inspector General Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
According to the Police, the publications are false and should disregarded by the public.

POLICE REACT TO FAKE NEWS OF IGP’S REMOVAL
The attention of the Ghana Police Service has been drawn to some media reports suggesting that the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has been asked to proceed on leave.
We would like to urge the public to disregard this fake news and treat same with the contempt it deserves.
The Inspector-General of Police remains committed to his patriotic duty of leading the Ghana Police Service as per the mandate given to him by the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo.
