The Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South in the Upper East Region, Dr. Clement Apaak has boldly asserted that he never had doubts that Ghanaians would give President-elect Mahama another opportunity to lead the country.
The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has officially declared John Dramani Mahama as the President-elect following the 2024 general elections.
The announcement was made on Monday, December 9, 2024, by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Adukwei Mensa, after the successful collation of the election results.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Dr. Apaak shared his thoughts on President-elect Mahama’s reelection.
He described this win as a historic event that may never happen again. According to Dr. Apaak, Mahama’s achievement is noteworthy for several reasons: he has been elected on two separate occasions, will enjoy a significant majority in parliament, and notably, has a female vice president.
Dr. Apaak also described Mahama as a “man of destiny,” expressing his long-standing belief in Mahama.
“Man of Destiny is what I call him.
“I’ve always believed in him and never had a doubt that Ghanaians would give him a second chance. His election is a historic occurrence that may never be repeated. First; elected on two different occasions; have a female Veep; huge Parliamentary majority,” the lawmaker tweeted.
