UEW Lecture: Let’s all help build equitable, resilient education system – Dr. Apaak

The Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, has called for collaboration in building an equitable, resilient education system for Ghana.
Speaking on behalf of the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, at the University of Education- Wenniba (UEW) public lecture series on Friday, 11th April, 2025, Dr. Apaak stated that teachers must be mentors, and role models.
The Member of Parliament for Builsa South who doubles as the Deputy Minister for Education said “Let’s us together ensure that our teachers are not just transmitters of information but facilitators of learning, mentors, and role models.
“As we gather here today to deliberate and exchange ideas, I urge all of us to consider how we can collaboratively build education that is resilient and responsive to the needs of the 21st Century.
“To the students here today, you are the future of this nation. Embrace learning, not just as an end but as a lifelong pursuit; your curiosity, passion, and sense of purpose must shape the future of Ghana and beyond.”
The lecture which brought together key figures in education among others was under the theme “Empowering Minds, Shaping Futures for 21st-Century Education”.
Anti-corruption crusader and renowned Pan-Africanist, Prof. P.L.O. Lumumba, also spoke on 21st Century Education at the UEW Public Lecture Series.
