Srogboe: Let’s create an environment that values education – Dr. Apaak

Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, has encouraged Ghanaians to help create a society where education is valued and appreciated.
Dr. Apaak, who spoke on behalf of the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, at the coronation and outdooring of Torgbui Tsibaglo II and Mama Dewornu II of Srogboe, said that to successfully develop the country, everyone had a role to play.
He urged parents and guardians to prioritize the attendance of their children and wards so that they can leverage education for a responsible and critical-thinking society.
He noted that some of the “finest brains” from the Volta Region had come from small fishing communities because they believed in education and worked towards it.”
“Parents, guardians, and community leaders also have a role to play,” he said at the durbar. ” Let us invest in our children’s future. Let us create an environment where education is valued above all. Where school attendance is prioritized and where our youth are mentored and supported to climb as high as they can.”
Dr. Apaak observed that although there was “a place” for young people in Ghana’s developmental journey, they had to be “determined, disciplined, and prepared to study hard”.
