Dr. Apaak commissions four new classroom blocks in Builsa South

The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, has commissioned four classroom blocks across four communities in the Builsa South constituency.
The initiative is aimed at improving educational access in the Builsa South Constituency and surrounding areas.

Announcing the completion of the projects, Dr. Apaak highlighted his commitment to raising educational standards in Builsa South. The four facilities, located in Wiesi, Dogniga, Uwasa Teudema, and Fumbisi Suik are expected to reduce overcrowding in existing schools and provide safe learning spaces for children.
The projects include a 3-unit Kindergarten block for Wiesi, another 3-unit Kindergarten block for Dogniga, a 3-unit Kindergarten block at Uwasa Teudema, and a 2-unit Kindergarten block at Fumbisi Suik. Three of these were funded through GETFund following the MP’s advocacy, while the Fumbisi Suik block was fully financed by Dr. Apaak himself.
Separate commissioning ceremonies were held in each beneficiary community. Representing the MP, Constituency Chairman Cerza Akinkang noted that Dr. Apaak’s personal academic journey has shaped his deep attachment to education and inspired his drive to expand access to learning.
“Dr. Apaak has lived the power of education, and he believes the children of Builsa South deserve the same opportunities. These projects are a reflection of his love for the constituency and his faith in the future of its youth,” Akinkang told community members.
The facilities were officially handed over to the Builsa South District Education Directorate. Receiving them, District Director of Education, Mr. Richard A. Akum-Nyemi, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Ghana Education Service. He urged parents to enroll all eligible children when schools reopen on September 2, 2025, while stressing that the new classrooms should be safeguarded for long-term use.
Community leaders in the four towns welcomed the gesture, pledging to maintain the structures and appealing for further support in areas such as furniture, teachers’ accommodation, and sanitation.
For Dr. Apaak, the projects mark a blend of official resource mobilization and personal sacrifice, a commitment he says will continue as part of his vision to transform education in Builsa South.
