Mystery death shocks Wa’s Loho community

A yet-to-be-identified man has been found dead in the Loho electoral area in the Wa Municipality, prompting a joint response from community leaders and police as investigations begin.
Assembly Member for the Loho electoral area, Victor, told the media he was alerted early Friday morning by a local committee member. “It is a worrying situation. Around 7 o’clock, I was given a call by one of the Assembly Unit Committee members, who had seen a body. So I quickly called the Charia police in charge to move to the scene to see what was happening, so that is why I’m here,” he said.
He noted that the deceased was not immediately known to residents and that initial checks did not suggest any signs of assault.
According to him, the face of the deceased was unfamiliar to community members, and there were no visible scars or marks to indicate lynching or physical attack.
Police have since taken charge of the area, with the body conveyed for further examination. An autopsy is expected to determine the exact cause of death as authorities work to establish the identity of the man.
Local leaders say they will await the outcome of preliminary investigations before making any further decisions or statements regarding the incident.
The Assembly Member stressed the importance of allowing the police to carry out their processes thoroughly.
The discovery has heightened concern among residents, who are counting on the investigation to provide clarity on the circumstances leading to the individual’s death.
