We didn’t fund Nana Aba Anamoah’s Women of Valour event – GoldBod

GoldBod Jewellery Limited says it did not provide financial support for the Women of Valour event but was listed as a partner due to promotional discounts offered to participants.
The clarification was contained in a statement signed by the company’s Managing Director, Gertrude Emefa Donkor.
The company explained that its appearance among the programme’s partners stemmed from a marketing initiative tied to its ongoing Ghana Heritage Month campaign.
According to the statement, GoldBod extended special discounts on jewellery purchases to participants who attended the Women of Valour programme. The offer, it noted, formed part of the company’s broader promotional activities that are occasionally rolled out during national celebrations and other special occasions.
The statement indicated that the discount arrangement was similar to offers the company typically provides during festive periods such as Valentine’s Month, where customers are encouraged to purchase locally manufactured jewellery at reduced prices.
GoldBod stressed that the arrangement was strictly a promotional engagement and should not be interpreted as financial sponsorship of the event’s organisation.
“The company did not provide funds for the organisation of the Women of Valour programme,” the statement explained, adding that the partnership listing was based solely on the discount opportunity extended to attendees.
It further noted that the initiative aligns with its marketing strategy to celebrate Ghanaian culture and heritage while creating opportunities for customers to access locally produced jewellery at competitive prices.
“At GoldBod Jewellery, we focus on manufacturing and retailing timeless pieces of made-in-Ghana jewellery for our valued customers in Ghana and abroad,” the statement stated.
The company also highlighted its broader mission of promoting Ghanaian craftsmanship and increasing the visibility of locally produced jewellery both within the country and on international markets.
GoldBod said its operations remain centred on producing quality jewellery that reflects Ghana’s rich cultural identity while supporting the growth of the country’s creative and manufacturing sectors.
