Valley View University Induction: Dr. Apaak touts Prof Ganu’s ability to lead university

The appointment of Professor Daniel Ganu reflects strong confidence in his leadership to advance institutional growth and impact, Deputy Minister for Education says.
Speaking at the induction ceremony at Valley View University, Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, described the appointment as both significant and demanding.
He noted that “this appointment is both an honour and a responsibility,” emphasizing the expectations that come with leading a higher education institution.
Dr. Apaak underscored that Professor Ganu’s selection was not incidental but earned through demonstrated competence and leadership capacity.
“Your selection is a clear vote of confidence in your experience and your ability to lead this institution forward,” he stated, expressing optimism about the future of the university under his stewardship.
He added that effective leadership at the university level requires more than administrative oversight.
According to him, “leadership at this level demands vision, discipline, and a deep commitment to service,” qualities he believes Professor Ganu possesses.
He further noted that such leadership also requires “the ability to bring people together around a shared goal.”
The Deputy Minister expressed confidence that Valley View University would continue to grow in relevance and strength under the new Vice-Chancellor.
He said, “I have no doubt that under your stewardship, Valley View University will continue to grow in strength, relevance, and impact,” pointing to the institution’s track record in producing skilled and principled graduates.
He encouraged the university community to support the new Vice-Chancellor, stressing that collective effort is essential in achieving institutional goals and sustaining progress in Ghana’s higher education sector.
