PK Amoabeng Leadership foundation opens applications for fourth scholars cohort

The PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation has opened applications for the fourth cohort of its leadership programme for people aged 18 to 40.

Applications for the one-year PK Amoabeng Scholars Programme opened on 3 August and will close on 15 September 2026 at 23:59 GMT.

The programme was established by Captain (Rtd.) Prince Kofi Amoabeng, who says there is a need to develop a new generation of leaders equipped to address the challenges facing Ghana and Africa.

The foundation describes the programme as an intensive leadership initiative designed to identify and develop what it calls “high-potential individuals” with the capacity to contribute to society.

It says the programme is intended to build qualities including integrity, discipline and resilience among participants.

Unlike programmes based mainly on classroom instruction, the PK Amoabeng Scholars Programme combines formal leadership sessions with practical experiences.

Selected scholars will undergo military training and leadership boot camps as part of the programme.

They will also receive one-on-one mentorship and participate in job-shadowing opportunities designed to expose them to professional environments and different approaches to leadership.

Other elements of the programme include cultural immersion and leadership seminars.

The foundation says these activities are intended to provide participants with practical exposure while helping them develop the skills and mindset required to take on leadership responsibilities.

According to the foundation, the programme is based on four core values: “Integrity, Professionalism, Innovation, and Respect for All”.

It says these values are incorporated into the various aspects of the programme and are intended to guide scholars throughout their participation.

The PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation is a non-profit organisation focused on developing what it describes as “ethical, entrepreneurial, and patriotic leaders”.

The foundation says its wider objective is to influence the mindset of African leaders and contribute to the continent’s future development.

Applicants for Cohort 4 must be between 18 and 40 years old.

Those seeking admission are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of GH¢100.

The application period ends at 23:59 GMT on 15 September 2026, and prospective applicants have been advised to submit their applications before the deadline.
