Gomoa Eco Park expansion aims to boost tourism, jobs and conservation – A-Plus

Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, says the expansion of the Gomoa Eco Park will boost tourism, create jobs and support environmental conservation in Gomoa Central and across Ghana.

Speaking on 3FM on August 14, he said the project is being developed in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Forestry Commission to transform the park into a major eco-tourism destination.

He disclosed that officials from the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Forestry Commission are expected to visit the park next Wednesday to assess ongoing developments and discuss plans for its future growth.

“We will be in Gomoa with the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Forestry Commission to look at the entire Gomoa Eco Park project,” A-Plus said.

According to him, the project will focus on preserving the natural environment while creating opportunities for tourism and investment. He noted that plans are underway to increase the number of animals in the park and improve facilities to attract more visitors.

“We are going to increase the animal population. We are going to build homes in the forest and invite everybody to come and see what we are doing,” he stated.

A-Plus also announced that individuals and businesses would have the opportunity to invest in the project. He explained that investors could purchase designated plots within the eco park and monitor the progress of developments through a digital platform.

“We are selling plots and investors will have access to a dashboard where they can see what is happening with their investment in the eco park,” he said.

The legislator said the initiative is part of efforts to create a lasting legacy for future generations while contributing to the economic development of the area.

“I am thinking about the people who live in my constituency and Ghana today and making plans for posterity,” he said.

A-Plus added that he wants future generations to benefit from projects that protect the environment and create opportunities for growth, describing the Gomoa Eco Park as one of the initiatives that can help achieve that goal.
