Ghana Law Society emerges as a vibrant professional body for lawyers – Anatu Bogobiri Esq

Women Commissioner of the Ghana Law Society, Anatu Anne Seidu Bogobiri Esq., says the Society has grown in strength, credibility and membership confidence, positioning it to champion the interests, professional development and welfare of lawyers within Ghana’s legal ecosystem.
Speaking at the maiden Annual Conference of the Ghana Law Society at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, she said, “The Ghana Law Society has grown in strength, credibility and membership confidence, emerging as a vibrant and viable professional body poised to champion the interests, professional development and welfare of lawyers within Ghana’s legal ecosystem.”
The conference, which also featured the unveiling of the Society’s official logo, brought together senior government officials, legal practitioners, academics, traditional leaders and law students.
The Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, represented President John Dramani Mahama. Speaker of Parliament Alban S. K. Bagbin and Chief of Staff, Dr. Julius Debrah were also among the distinguished guests.
Other attendees included former Attorney-General Betty Mould-Iddrisu, Marrietta Brew, Joyce Bawa Mogtari and eminent members of the legal profession.
The conference also attracted leading legal academics, including Professor Peter Atudiwe Atupare of the University of Ghana School of Law and Professor Ernest Kofi Abotsi of the UPSA Law School.
Anatu Bogobiri described the maiden conference as a significant milestone for the Society and Ghana’s legal profession.
“The successful maiden conference marks a remarkable milestone in the evolution of Ghana’s legal profession and sets a powerful tone for the future,” she said.
She added, “The Ghana Law Society has come to stay.”
The Ghana Law Society traces its early beginnings to the Law Society of Ghana (LSG), established around 2022.
The Society says it has since grown in strength, credibility and membership confidence, with a focus on the interests, professional development and welfare of lawyers.
