GTEC cracks down on 110 unrecognised tertiary institutions

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has published a list of 110 tertiary institutions it says are currently not recognised by the Commission.
In a public notice dated Wednesday, September 30, 2026, GTEC said the institutions were not recognised due to various quality assurance concerns.
The Commission advised the public to exercise due diligence regarding certificates issued by the institutions.
