‘What a solid transition team’ – Lawrence Lamptey writes

The President – Elect, H. E. John Dramani Mahama is a very conscious and visionary leader who within a record time appointed the best team to lead the NDC side of the transition process. He selected person’s with great wealth of experience and dedication towards good governance. He satisfied the expectations of people on regional balance, governance, industry, labour relations, constitutionality, local governance and finance.
The selection of Hon. Julius Debrah as a co-chair of the transition team was well thought through. Hon. Julius Debrah was a former Chief of Staff under H. E. John Dramani Mahama in his first term of office. He was also a former Greater Accra Regional Minister. He discharged his various assigned duties very well to the admiration of both party faithfuls and the general public. He has gathered enough experience in managing issues of governance. As youthful as he is, he managed to satisfy the hopes of many other youth in the country and supported youthful enterprises. He is a gem and shall deliver on the job description of the transition process.
The selection of Madam Valerie Sawyer is very perfect to the teams’ expectations since she is a good team-player and has a great experience as a former Deputy Chief of Staff. Madam Valerie has come across both tough and mild governance issues and can withstand any pressure that comes about in her line of duty. She has a good institutional memory, and also satisfies the gender equation.
The choise of Dr. Callistus Mahama, a local government expert and the former Head of the Local Government Service, brings on board a broader governmental experience. Dr. Callistus was once a Rector at the Institute of Local Government, Madina. A very positive and humble personality who headed the staff of H. E. John Dramani Mahama’s private office. At the office, he receives all without discrimination. He is fit for the transition process.
Hon. Kwamena Ahwoi, an institution, a great influencer, a promoter of good governance, a local government ‘guru’, couldn’t be left out of the equation. He has had the opportunity to understudy and work with several governments and this makes him highly experienced. He is a legend; a resource to both the incumbent and the incoming administration. His membership on the transition team shall serve a great deal.
Hon. Goosie Tanoh, an experienced Cadre, a grassrootsman and a revolutionary, is a good choice for the transition process. His wealth of knowledge in labour relations, industry, and diplomacy, satisfies the immediate needs of the transition. His diverse knowledge in governance shall be laid to bare for a successful work of the team.
The experienced National Chairman, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the powerful General Secretary, Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the astute Lawyers’ Marietta Brew Oppong and Mahama Ayariga, a finance expert Hon. Kassiel Ato Forson who doubles as the leader of the NDC side in Parliament, and the rest, are all positive choices made by H. E. John Dramani Mahama.
Indeed, the NDC has the men. ‘What a solid team’ !
I wish the transition team and their sub-committees very well as they discharge their duties in service of mother Ghana.
Long live the NDC!
Long live experienced hands!!
Long live Ghana!!!
