Bawumia can’t be excluded from the calamitous record of this gov’t – Dr. Apaak to Kofi Bentil
The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak has stated that Mr. Kofi Bentil cannot exclude Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia from the mess created by this government.
This follows Mr. Kofi Bentil in a tweet calling on Ghanaians to give Bawumia a hearing, ahead of his needless and useless lecture, scheduled for 7th February.
Mr. Bentil has come under public criticism for his comment on the Vice President.
The National Communication Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has slammed Kofi Bentil over his defense of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
“I just read your write-up calling on Ghanaians to give Bawumia a hearing, ahead of his needless and useless lecture, scheduled for 7th February. For your information, Ghanaians gave Bawumia ample hearing in 2016, when he held countless lectures and fora, to propound lofty but deceptive economic rhetorics.
“At each of those lectures, Bawumia diagnosed the challenges of Ghana’s economy and proceeded to fix our problems rhetorically. Ghanaians were so much in awe of Bawumia’s “charm” and “wizardry” that they trusted him to manage Ghana’s economy,” portions of his statement had it.
He continued: “Need I remind you, that at a time when Bawumia as chairman of the Economic Management Team, has supervised the total destruction of the economy, what is required of him, is ACTION and not lectures? This is trite and you of all people should know that.”
Commenting on the development, the Builsa South lawmaker stated that Ghanaians will not fall for any tricks ahead of the 2024 election.
“Does Kofi Bentil think anyone takes him seriously in his futile attempt to extricate Dr Mahamudu Bawumia from the calamitous record of a government Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was, and remains a member of? We don’t wash our faces upwards, bro!” Dr. Apaak stated.
