Dr. Apaak, family express appreciation for the support received during their late father’s funeral

Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, Member of Parliament for the Builsa South Constituency and Deputy Minister for Education, has expressed appreciation to sympathisers following the burial and thanksgiving service held in honour of his late father, Pastor John Azundem Apaak.

In a message posted on his official Facebook page after the Thanksgiving service on Sunday, Dr. Apaak thanked all those who supported the family throughout the funeral period.

“Thank you for joining us to mourn our late father, Pastor John Azundem Apaak. We appreciate your time, support, assistance, and prayers,” he wrote.

The Thanksgiving service, held today at the Deeper Life Bible Church, Sawaba, Bolgatanga, marked the final activity of the funeral rites and brought together family members, church leaders, public officials and sympathisers from across the country.

During the funeral service, Founder of the Pneuma Institute and President of Eastwood Anaba Ministries, Pastor Eastwood Anaba, described the Apaak family as a symbol of hope for the Upper East Region, noting the enduring legacy left by the late pastor.

In recognition of Pastor Apaak’s contribution to Christian education and teaching, the Deeper Life Bible Church announced plans to construct a learning centre in Bolgatanga to be named after him. The church described the late pastor as a passionate preacher of the Word of God.

Several dignitaries attended the burial and thanksgiving services, including the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu; the Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Donatus Cletus Atanga; Members of Parliament; traditional leaders; senior clergy and other prominent personalities.

Following the burial service in Bolgatanga, the body of Pastor John Azundem Apaak was conveyed to Dorninga in the Builsa South District, where he was laid to rest at the family house in accordance with tradition.

The Apaak family has expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received, describing it as a testament to the impact the late pastor had on the lives of many.
