Global Patriots Germany warns NPP against repeat of mistakes

Global Patriots Germany, a pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) group, has urged the party to learn from the mistakes that caused its 2024 electoral defeat. The group emphasized that restoring the party’s strength will demand unity, discipline, and sacrifice from all members.
In a statement issued on Monday, the group urged party leaders, executives, and grassroots supporters to put the NPP’s survival above personal ambition, rivalries, and divisive rhetoric. “Leadership is not about personal glory but about service to the greater good. The NPP must come first before individual interest,” it said.
The group described the party as “wounded” after the painful loss and emphasized that healing would require patience, tolerance, forgiveness, and collective will. “The NPP is bleeding, and it will take all hands on deck—from the grassroots to the highest leadership—to restore and strengthen our movement for victory in the years ahead,” the statement noted.
Global Patriots Germany appealed to aspirants vying for leadership ahead of the 2026 presidential primaries to prioritize dialogue, respect for structures, and discipline. It also cautioned the youth to channel their passion into constructive contributions rather than fueling divisions.
Reiterating its principle of “NPP First. Unity First. Ghana First,” the group highlighted that the strength of the party lies not just in its name but in the unity of its people. “A divided house cannot stand, but a united NPP is unstoppable,” it added.
The group further reminded members of the sacrifices made over the years, warning that complacency and factionalism could undermine the party’s future prospects. It stressed that restoring public trust and reclaiming political dominance would only be possible if the NPP learns from its setbacks and recommits to collective progress.

“The bitter lessons of our recent and painful electoral defeat remain fresh. This setback was not only a blow to the structures of our party but also a dent in the sacrifices of loyal members, grassroots supporters, and leaders who worked tirelessly to make the NPP a beacon of hope for Ghana’s progress,” the group said.
With tensions rising ahead of the 2026 primaries, Global Patriots Germany insisted that unity is the only path to recovery.
