Gloria Ashinyo appointed Technical Aide to Gov’t Communications Minister

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Gloria Dzifa Ashinyo as Technical Aide to Government Communications Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
The appointment was contained in an official letter dated October 3, 2025.
Ms. Ashinyo would work directly under the Minister as part of efforts to strengthen government communication and public information dissemination.
Her responsibilities include providing technical advice and strategic support to the Minister on issues relating to government communications and information flow.
The role of a Technical Aide in government communications typically involves supporting policy communication, coordinating research, analysing media trends, assisting with stakeholder engagement, and helping shape messaging across traditional and digital media platforms.
Ms. Ashinyo is also expected to oversee research on communication trends, media strategies, and digital platforms aimed at improving government messaging.
“You are also required to liaise with government agencies, media houses, civil society, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective information flow,” the appointment letter added.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu has served as Government Communications Minister since President John Dramani Mahama appointed him to the role last year.
He currently oversees the government’s communication strategy, a responsibility that was previously handled by the Information Ministry during the administration of former President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Gloria Dzifa Ashinyo is a Ghanaian minister of the gospel and politician associated with the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) party.
She is active on social media as a commentator on Ghanaian political affairs and has featured in media discussions regarding national issues.
She has appeared on media platforms like TV XYZ to discuss political developments and has been associated with “#dwaboase” and “The Week Under Review” on Power979fm.
