Kintampo to get University of Health, Agriculture & Life Sciences – Haruna

Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu says President John Dramani Mahama’s administration intends to construct a new University of Health, Agriculture, and Life Sciences at Kintampo in the Bono Region.
Speaking during the inauguration of the Simon Diedong Dombo University Governing Council at the Minister, disclosed that the bill on this new university will be tabled as soon as Parliament reconvenes from recess.
“It is the desire and intention, as I have publicly stated, that every region of Ghana will be host to one higher education institution of learning. It is the dream and desire of the president that in each region, there would be an established university.
“But we have to begin somewhere, and we have begun somewhat in getting that done. One of the new universities that we would lay a bill in parliament this year would be the University of Health, Agriculture and Life Sciences at Kintampo to serve the Bono Region”, the Minister stated.
Dr. Benjamin Bewa-nyog Kunbuor is the chairperson for the Simon Diedong Dombo University Governing Council.
