Mahama host business leaders at Kwahu forum dinner

President John Dramani Mahama will meet top Ghanaian business figures at a high-level dinner during the opening of the 2026 Kwahu Business Forum.
The dinner, set for the newly built Kwahu Convention Centre on the Mpraeso Hills in the Eastern Region, will mark the first day of the three-day forum. It brings together industry leaders to engage directly with the President on investment opportunities, economic priorities, and strategies to boost entrepreneurship and private sector growth.
The Kwahu Business Forum, running from April 3, is expected to attract over 1,000 participants, including entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and other stakeholders. The opening day will feature an official ceremony, tours of exhibition areas, and panel discussions focused on key sectors of the economy. Attendees will also gain insights from successful business figures, particularly from the Kwahu enclave, on how to build sustainable and resilient enterprises.
The evening dinner will provide an informal space for government and industry leaders to discuss strategies for economic development while fostering closer ties between public and private sectors. Performances by Ghanaian artistes Stonebwoy and Kwabena Kwabena will round off the night, combining culture and commerce.
On the second day, keynote addresses from industry leaders will continue, with the Governor of the Bank of Ghana expected to deliver a special presentation on the economy and engage participants on monetary policy issues. The forum will conclude with a health walk at the Kwahu Business Village and closed-door meetings between banking executives and the central bank to explore broader economic trends and collaborative opportunities.
The forum is designed to strengthen public-private collaboration and highlight business as a key driver of Ghana’s economic transformation. By offering a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and strategic dialogue, the Kwahu Business Forum seeks to create an environment conducive to investment, innovation, and sustainable economic growth across the country.
