My birthday wish – Prince Derek Adjei writes

My Birthday Wish:
for Ghana, La…
PEACE, DEVELOPMENT & ADVANCEMENT in all spheres.
My wish is that together we eradicate Galamsey, Corruption and all forms of Looting which benefits a few at the expense of the people…
My wish is that a new La Mantse is enstooled together with a new La Dzasetse and Kowe Akutsotse to seal the vacancies at the La Stool which is being exploited by a few to Loot La Stool Lands and Revenue to enrich themselves…
WE MUST AS GHANAIANS LEARN TO BE BLUNT;
We must speak the truth no matter whose ox is gored.
In La, there is a huge leadership vacuum – there is no La Mantse, La Dzasetse and Kowe Akutsotse following the deaths of Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III, Nii Odotei Adjei and Nii Salami Manle respectively.
There is the urgent need to have substantive replacements for the Kowe Akutsotse, La Dzasetse and La Mantse to end the USURPATION and false claims by persons purporting to be acting in their stead.
In law and in fact, those who were acting on behalf of any of these Traditional Officeholders ceased to have any such capacity upon the deaths of these person thus continuing to hold one’s self in that acting position is illegal and any actions of no consequence.
LET THE PROPER PROCESS FOR SELECTING AND ENSTOOLMENT OF THEIR SUCCESSORS BE DONE IN GOOD TIME.
The State must refrain from dealing with any person’s purporting to be representing the La Stool; particularly the La Traditional Council masquerading as the Stool as the two are distinct and different as the fruits of such a poisoned tree will fail and a new Paramount Chief will not be bound by such fraudulent misrepresentation.
The purported agreements on the Cantonments Civil Aviation Authority land, Tradefair and Kpletso among others will be reviewed by a new La Mantse once enstooled.
THERE WILL BE ACCOUNTABILITY BY ALL.
The Operation Recover All Loot [ORAL] in as far as the retrieval of looted State Lands originally acquired from the La Stool; will require of the State to relate to the La Stool in accordance with the Constitution of Ghana.
The Constitution of Ghana and the Laws of Ghana will have to be applied equally in all jurisdictions of Ghana including La.
THE ACT 1036 TRANSPARENCY REQUIREMENT AND SANCTIONS WILL BE APPLIED.
The importance of the La Stool Lands acquired or given for national development cannot be ignored…
The unfortunate abuse of these State Acquired Lands by various State Actors has led to these prime lands becoming a conduit for hiding proceeds of Corruption and Galamsey through money laundering also cannot be ignored.
My solemn wish and prayer is that this phenomenon is eradicated, BUT BEYOND WISHES & PRAYERS, we must take concrete steps; key among them is to stop the imposters and their Usurpation by ensuring a speedy enstoolment of a new La Mantse.
The Peace, Development and Advancement will naturally follow.
The establishment of the La Stool Lands Secretariat with all transactions made through the La Bank will help eliminate Fraud and ensure proper administration for the good of all.
We can eradicate Galamsey if we cut their avenue for laundering the money – Land Looting; by plugging the Prime La Lands Looting.
The publication of the status of all State Acquired Lands and Bungalows will be very helpful…
The establishment of the Presidential Commission of Enquiry into the Looted or Stolen State Lands and Bungalows will be the icing on the cake…
Each year as we grow older, we inch closer to our exit off this stage called life, it is our cue to ACT FASTER and with the aid of others leave a lasting legacy.
I KNOW THAT TOGETHER WE CAN WE CAN END GALAMSEY, CORRUPTION AND MONEY LAUNDERING THROUGH LA LAND LOOTING.
May God bless Our Homeland Ghana and my beloved La as we work together on my Solemn Birthday Wish.
AMEN.
