NSS Personnel receive March allowance following changes to pay process

The National Service Authority has announced the payment of the March 2026 allowances to eligible National Service Personnel nationwide.
The Authority, in a press release dated May 16, said the payments were successfully effected on Friday, May 15, 2026, following recent adjustments to the payment process.
“The National Service Authority (NSA) is pleased to inform all National Service Personnel (NSP) and the general public that payment of March 2026 allowance has been successfully effected on Friday, 15th May, 2026,” the statement said.
The release, signed by Director-General Ruth Delaa Seddoh, advised all eligible personnel to verify their bank accounts to confirm receipt of the allowance.
According to the Authority, the payment covers personnel under the General Enrolment category for the 2025/2026 service year, Nurses for the 2026/2027 service year, Nurses continuing the 2025/2026 service year, as well as trained teachers continuing their service for the same period.
The NSA expressed appreciation to service personnel for their patience and cooperation throughout the processing period.
“The Authority appreciates the patience and cooperation demonstrated by all service personnel during the processing period,” portions of the statement noted.
The Authority also disclosed that efforts are underway to ensure the prompt release of the April 2026 allowance.
“The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department has informed us that the April 2026 allowance is expected to be released shortly. We will disburse the funds promptly once received,” the release added.
Management of the NSA stated that it remains committed to improving the efficiency and timeliness of allowance payments to service personnel nationwide.
“Management remains committed to ensuring timely and efficient payment of allowances and continues to work closely with the relevant stakeholders to improve service delivery,” the statement said.
The Authority further commended National Service Personnel for their dedication and contribution to national development, assuring them of continued efforts to streamline the payment system and address concerns related to delays in allowance disbursement.
