Okaikwei North MP rolls out special mock exams for students

The Okaikwei North Member of Parliament (MP), Theresa Lardi Awuni, has rolled out special mock exams to prepare students for final examinations and improve academic performance across the constituency.
The initiative was announced in a statement issued by the Office of the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North and signed by JERRY JOHN AKOTO, outlining plans for this year’s Obaanaa Special Mock Exams.
According to the statement, the exercise is scheduled to take place from March 24 to 31, 2026, and is expected to serve as a structured academic intervention for students across the constituency. It said the mock exams are designed to help candidates assess their level of preparedness ahead of their final examinations and identify areas that require improvement.
The statement noted that the examinations aim to build students’ confidence and enhance their ability to perform under examination conditions. It added that the initiative will also equip candidates with the discipline required for academic success, while helping to reduce anxiety through exposure to a simulated exam environment.
Speaking on the initiative, the Member of Parliament reaffirmed her commitment to improving educational outcomes in Okaikwei North, stressing the importance of investing in the intellectual development of young people.
“This mock exam is not just a test, but a platform to prepare, improve, and succeed. I encourage all students to stay focused, believe in themselves, and give off their best,” she stated.
The statement further indicated that the programme is being organised in collaboration with the Okaikwei North Municipal Education Directorate and the Ghana Education Service to ensure that the examinations meet required academic standards and are effectively administered.
It added that the Obaanaa Special Mock Exams forms part of broader interventions spearheaded by Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni to support students through targeted educational initiatives, with a focus on improving academic performance within the constituency.
Students have been urged to take full advantage of the opportunity and approach the examinations with seriousness and determination as they prepare for their final assessments.
The statement concluded by encouraging candidates to remain focused and committed throughout the examination period.
“Are you ready? Success awaits.” It ended.
