Photos from Dr. Apaak’s late father’s funeral



The Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South Constituency who doubles as Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, has laid his father, Pastor John Azundem Apaak to rest.


Pastor Apaak, aged 81, passed away on November 4, 2025, after a lifetime devoted to faith, ministry, and service to humanity.


He was widely respected for his humility, discipline, and commitment to spiritual and community development, earning admiration across the Builsa traditional area and beyond.

The funeral rites took place in Bolgatanga in the Upper East region. Family members, church leaders, and members of the public were allowed to pay their last respects.

After the memorial and burial service, the body was conveyed to Dorninga in the Builsa South District, where Pastor Apaak was laid to rest.
Pastor John Azundem Apaak is remembered as a peace-loving elder, mentor, and disciplinarian whose counsel was widely sought.

His passing has been described as a major loss to the Church, the Builsa community, and all who encountered his ministry.
Several public officials, traditional leaders, church members, and sympathisers, including the Founder of Fountain Gate Ministries, Rev. Eastwood Anaba, and Minister of Education, Haruna Iddris,u attended the funeral to support Dr. Apaak and the bereaved family.
