Police honour another distinguished Police officer of valour

The Ghana Police Service honours another distinguished officer, Inspector Joseph Addai, an epitome of valour within the Formed Police Unit (FPU) of the Service.
Inspector Joseph Addai is an accomplished Police officer with a distinguished career in the Service, deserving of celebration and praise.
He was born on 25th February 1976, at Atwima-Gyekye in the Ashanti Region.
His journey in the Police began when he was enlisted on 28th November 2003 and passed out on 20th April 2004, at the then Winneba Police Training School now known as the Ghana Police Command and Staff College (GPCSC).
Following his passing out, he has been involved in various critical positions and responsibilities, showcasing his versatility and leadership.
Notably, Inspector Joseph Addai served as the Operational Officer in Tamale, Bawku and Yendi, exhibiting his ability to manage and coordinate operations effectively.
In 2008, he was called upon to contribute his expertise as an armourer in the former Armoured Car Squadron (ACS) which is now the Formed Police Unit (FPU). His commitment and skills led him to become an instructor at the National Police Training School (NPTS) later that same year.
Inspector Joseph Addai has been instrumental in training various groups of people including bodyguards, recruits, as well as personnel from several other institutions.
Throughout his career, Joseph Addai sought continuous improvement by participating in multiple significant courses. Prominent mentions include his cybersecurity training at NPTS, his Formed Police Unit training in Italy, International Police Peacekeeping Operations (IPPOs) training and workshops, and courses on sexual exploitation and abuse, as well as fire-fighting techniques. His dedication and passion for modern weapons were recognized when he emerged as the best student in armament during the EMIT Course.
Inspector Joseph Addai has been deployed on several international missions over the years where he distinguished himself. During one of such missions, his bravery came to the forefront when he led a team to rescue a colleague in grave danger.
His contributions have not gone unnoticed. He received Command Awards from the Formed Police Unit command and the Formed Police Unit contingent awards in 2019 in recognition of his hard work and dedication.
Inspector Joseph Addai’s career is a shining example of dedication, leadership, and selflessness. His commitment to service and his fellow officers make him a truly remarkable individual deserving of celebration and honour.
