Prof. Opoku-Agyemang to embark on a day’s tour of markets in Accra

The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, is expected to embark on a day’s tour of three main markets in Accra in the Greater Accra Region on Thursday.
She will visit Mallam Atta, Kaneshie, and Makola markets to interact with market women, traders, shop attendants, shoppers, kayayei, commercial drivers, and passengers, among others.
During the tour, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang will explain the NDC’s women’s financial empowerment policies and plans, including the proposed establishment of a Women’s Development Bank.
About one million women in business, including food vendors, market women, bakers, hairdressers, and dressmakers are expected to benefit from access to loans with flexible payment terms.
