Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover has been elected National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after winning the position at the party’s national executive elections in Kumasi.
The former Greater Accra Regional Minister secured 2,964 votes in the election held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Ali Maiga Halidu placed second with 2,231 votes, while Kwame Prempeh obtained 445 votes. Emmanuel Korsi Bodja polled 145 votes, Nana Kwadjo Agyei Yeboah secured 137, Daniel Agyenim Boateng received 105 and Archibald Gamor Korletey obtained 85 votes.
The result marks a breakthrough for Mr Glover, who had previously contested the National Organiser position but failed to secure it. His return to the race has now resulted in his election to the position.
Ahead of the election, Mr Glover had expressed confidence in his experience and ability to lead the party’s organisational machinery.
“I am more than competent and qualified because I have the capacity to lead. I know what I can do because I have every capacity to drive the engine of the party called the organisership,” he said during an interview with TV3.
He had also emphasised the importance of grassroots mobilisation, particularly at the polling-station level.
“The polling station structure, that is where the work is. It is right at the base,” Mr Glover stated.
Mr Glover further argued that the NPP needed to begin its reorganisation early and reconnect with supporters following the party’s performance in the 2024 general elections.
“If we don’t start to organise ourselves immediately, that is where the issues will start coming up,” he said.
Other newly elected executives include Alfred Kwajo Thompson as National Treasurer, Mavis Hawa Koomson as National Women’s Organiser, Abanga Fuseini Yakubu as National Youth Organiser, Mohammed Ali Suraj as National Nasara Organiser and Dennis Miracles Aboagye as National Communications Director.
