UE/R: Lawyer Agbambilla donates cash, equipment to Zebilla District hospital

Lawyer Maxwell Agbambilla, Managing Director of Trust Logistics Limited and former parliamentary candidate for the Zebilla Constituency, has donated cash and essential equipment to the Zebilla District Hospital in the Upper East Region to support maternal healthcare delivery.
The presentation, made on February 27, 2026, saw the legal practitioner hand over ten stainless steel electric kettles to the hospital’s labour ward to ensure the regular availability of hot water for mothers and newborns. Access to hot water remains a critical requirement in maternity care, particularly for hygiene, sanitation and post-delivery support.
In addition to the equipment, Mr Agbambilla presented GH₵5,700 to assist women currently admitted at the labour ward. The financial support is expected to ease the burden on mothers who may struggle with medical and related expenses during childbirth.

Speaking to Zebs FM after the donation, Mr Agbambilla said the gesture forms part of his broader commitment to improving social services within the constituency. He noted that maternal health must remain a priority and called for sustained community and stakeholder involvement in strengthening local health facilities.
He further indicated plans to donate more essential items to the hospital in the near future, stressing that collective efforts are required to address logistical gaps confronting healthcare institutions in rural areas.
Mr Agbambilla also appealed to individuals, corporate bodies and non-governmental organisations to extend support to the Zebilla District Hospital to enhance service delivery and improve patient care outcomes.
Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Madam Sarah Asuah, midwife in charge of the labour ward, expressed gratitude for the timely intervention. She acknowledged that access to hot water has been a challenge at the ward and described the donation as a significant boost to maternal and neonatal care.
She assured that the kettles and the financial support would be put to good use for the benefit of mothers and newborns receiving care at the facility.
The Zebilla District Hospital serves residents of Zebilla and adjoining communities and plays a critical role in healthcare delivery within the region.
