NDC urges calm amid concerns over jobs for party loyalists

Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Foyo Mustapha Gbande, has called for calm among party members over growing concerns about job opportunities in government.
Speaking on behalf of the party’s leadership and President John Dramani Mahama, Mr. Gbande acknowledged the frustrations expressed by members, describing them as evidence of the NDC’s active and passionate grassroots.
“We appreciate all concerns, in whatever form they come, from the rank and file of the party, as well as from members and non-members alike. I urge everyone to remain calm as we explore practical ways to address all matters relating to jobs and relationships,” he stated.
He emphasized that the party leadership remains focused on serving Ghanaians and working together to resolve issues affecting both the public and NDC supporters.
According to him, leadership is actively seeking inclusive solutions to meet members’ expectations.
Mr. Gbande urged members not to rush to judgment or assume that leaders are indifferent to their concerns.
“Every concern raised by our members has been heard loud and clear,” he assured, adding, “We only ask that you grant us the space and time to find lasting solutions, even if gradually. Our government continues to make steady progress, regardless of the challenges.”
He further appealed for patience, tolerance, and unity, stressing that the NDC’s strength lies in perseverance and solidarity.
“We stand fully with you on behalf of the President and the leadership of our great party. Remember, patience and resilience always triumph in the end,” he said.
His remarks follow reports of discontent among some NDC members over job placements and communication gaps.
The leadership, however, maintains that it is committed to ensuring equal access to opportunities under President Mahama’s administration.
