Dr Mumuni chairs UG College of Humanities Advisory Board

Dr. Zakari Mumuni has been named Chairman of the Advisory Board of the College of Humanities at the University of Ghana.
His appointment was announced during the inauguration of the Board, where he pledged to provide strategic guidance to support the College’s development and long-term vision.
“Our mandate is to provide sound guidance on policy and strategic direction in line with the College’s vision and objectives,” he said.
Dr Mumuni noted that the Advisory Board brings together experienced professionals from diverse fields who will work collaboratively with the College’s leadership to strengthen its academic standing.
“The Advisory Board comprises accomplished individuals with diverse expertise, all committed to working collaboratively with the College’s leadership to uphold and advance its reputation for academic excellence,” he stated.
He explained that the Board would serve as a key partner in ensuring that the College remains competitive and responsive to emerging challenges in higher education.
“In this regard, the Advisory Board will serve as a strategic partner, supporting the College in its efforts to remain impactful and forward-looking,” he said.
Dr Mumuni assured the University community of the Board’s commitment to delivering on its responsibilities with diligence and dedication.
“I assure the University community that we will discharge our responsibilities with diligence and dedication to support the continued growth and success of this noble College,” he stated.
He described his appointment as an opportunity to give back to an institution that has played a significant role in shaping his career and professional life.
“Standing here today, I see myself not only as an appointee, but as someone shaped by this University,” he said.
The establishment of the Advisory Board is expected to strengthen governance structures within the College of Humanities and enhance collaboration between academia and industry.
The ceremony brought together university officials, faculty members, and stakeholders, highlighting the importance of strategic leadership in advancing academic excellence.
