We appreciate vital role you play in building brighter future for our children – Dr. Apaak to all mothers

Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, has paid tribute to mothers across Ghana, describing their contribution to the upbringing of children and national development as invaluable.
In a message issued to commemorate this year’s Mother’s Day celebration, Dr. Apaak praised mothers and mother figures for their sacrifices, resilience, and commitment to families and society.
According to him, the role played by mothers continues to shape homes, communities and the future of the country.
“As we celebrate Mother’s Day, I pay tribute to all mothers and mother figures whose love, sacrifice, and dedication continue to shape our homes, communities, and nation,” he said.
Dr. Apaak noted that beyond their responsibilities within the family, mothers remain central to national growth through the values, care and guidance they provide to the next generation.
He stated that the dedication and perseverance demonstrated by mothers continue to serve as a strong foundation for social and economic development.
“Your resilience, care, and commitment to nurturing the next generation remain a powerful foundation for national growth and development,” he stated.
The Deputy Education Minister further expressed appreciation to mothers for their continuous efforts in supporting children and families despite prevailing social and economic challenges.
“I sincerely appreciate and honor all mothers for the vital role you play in building a brighter future for our children and our country,” he added.
Mother’s Day is observed annually in many parts of the world to recognise the sacrifices and contributions of mothers and maternal figures to society.
In Ghana, the occasion is marked with messages of appreciation and recognition from public officials, institutions and individuals celebrating the role of mothers in national and family life.
Dr. Apaak’s message joins several tributes issued by political leaders and public figures across the country in honour of mothers and caregivers.
The Deputy Minister, who is also the Member of Parliament for Builsa South, has consistently advocated policies aimed at improving education and strengthening support systems for children and young people.
