One dead after head-on collision at Tipper Junction – GNFS

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reported one death following a head-on collision involving a water tanker and a Toyota Voxy at Tipper Junction along the Kasoa–Winneba Road.
The accident occurred on Saturday, August 15, 2026, with firefighters from the Buduburam Fire Station responding to the scene and rescuing eight injured persons.
The victims were transported to the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa for treatment. However, one of the injured persons later died.
“Firefighters from the Buduburam Fire Station rescued eight injured people and conveyed them to the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa for treatment. Unfortunately, one person later died,” the GNFS said in a Facebook post.
The Toyota Voxy sustained extensive damage to its engine compartment, while the water tanker also suffered partial damage.
The GNFS said the cause of the collision is under investigation.
