NUGS executives pay courtesy call on NHIA DCEO, present appreciation token

Executives of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) have paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in charge of Finance and Investment, Anatu Anne Seidu Bogobiri Esq.

The visit, held at her office in Accra on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, was to express appreciation for her support and participation in the activities of the student body.

The delegation was led by NUGS Secretary for Special Education, Gideon Osei, and Secretary for Education, Bismark Offei Bekoe.

The executives thanked Ms. Bogobiri for honouring their invitation to attend the 59th NUGS Annual Conference.

As a token of appreciation, the NUGS leadership presented her with a framed picture.

Receiving the delegation, Ms. Bogobiri thanked the executives for the visit and the thoughtful gesture.

She also commended the student leaders for their service to Ghanaian students and encouraged them to make a lasting impact during their tenure.

Ms. Bogobiri urged the executives to “leave a lasting legacy at the end of their tenure” and “take NUGS to greater heights.”

She further encouraged them to continue positioning the Union as “a true leadership incubator for Ghanaian students.”

The NUGS executives expressed their gratitude to the NHIA DCEO for her warm reception, mentorship and continuous support for youth and student development.

The engagement forms part of efforts by the NUGS leadership to strengthen relationships with individuals and institutions supporting education, youth development and student leadership in Ghana.
