SLTF disburses loans to over 5,600 more students

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has disbursed loans to an additional 5,667 students for the 2024/2025 academic year.
The total number of beneficiaries now stands at 31,659 students across 130 public and private tertiary institutions.
President John Dramani Mahama’s administration initiated the move to ensure that financial challenges do not prevent students from pursuing higher education.
Dr. Saajida Shiraz, Chief Executive Officer of the SLTF, reiterated that providing continuous financial support to students remains a top priority, particularly in implementing the government’s ‘No-Fees-Stress’ policy.
“We remain committed to providing financial support to continuing students,” Dr. Shiraz stated.
She encouraged beneficiaries to maximize the policy’s benefits and ensure that the government’s efforts yield positive outcomes.
The timely disbursement of funds has enabled students to enroll in their preferred tertiary institutions without undue financial strain. The SLTF’s commitment to supporting students aligns with the government’s vision for an inclusive and prosperous society.
