A Call to Action: Preserving Ghana’s Future – Francis Kwesi Badu-Mello writes

In recent times, the nation of Ghana has been embroiled in controversy and disillusionment due to the covert operations of the current government, primarily dominated by individuals from the Akyim group. This administration, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, along with the so-called Akyim mafias, has reportedly devised an insidious plan to monopolize the nation’s resources for their present and future progeny. This sinister plot, encapsulated in a secret document known as “Adgyapadie,” threatens the very fabric of our beloved country.

The contents of this document reveal a disturbing agenda: the deliberate appropriation of Ghana’s financial sector, mineral deposits, energy sector, telecommunications, and the state broadcaster, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation. The recent establishment of the dubious company PDS to control the energy sector, the Agyapa mineral deal aimed at seizing mineral funds, the controversial bank cleanup exercise that strategically collapsed certain banks while propping up others, and the takeover of the telecommunications sector, all point to a coordinated effort to consolidate power and wealth within a select group.

These actions have not only caused widespread discontent among the populace but have also highlighted the need for urgent and decisive action. The ruling party’s plans, as outlined in the Adgyapadie document, are a direct affront to the principles of democracy, equity, and national unity. It is an attempt to usurp the nation’s resources for the benefit of a few, leaving the majority of Ghanaians to grapple with economic hardship and uncertainty.

We cannot allow this betrayal to continue unchallenged. As Ghanaians, we must stand united against this blatant disregard for our collective well-being. We must rally together to ensure that our nation’s resources are preserved and utilized for the benefit of all, not just a privileged few. The time has come for us to take a stand and demand accountability from our leaders.

Former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) offer a viable alternative. Mahama’s vision for a 24-hour economy, aimed at increasing productivity, creating jobs, and revitalizing Ghana’s economy, presents a stark contrast to the current administration’s self-serving agenda. By voting for Mahama and the NDC in the 2024 general elections, we can restore integrity, transparency, and fairness to our governance.

We call on all Ghanaians to rise up against this calculated ploy by the ruling party. Let us unite to reject this evil agenda and safeguard our nation’s future. It is imperative that we vote out the current administration and usher in a leadership that prioritizes the welfare of all Ghanaians, irrespective of tribe or background.

The stakes have never been higher. Our nation’s resources, our democracy, and our future are at risk. Together, we can thwart the machinations of the Akyim mafias and their cohorts. Together, we can ensure that Ghana remains a land of opportunity and prosperity for generations to come.

Let us make our voices heard loud and clear: we will not stand by as our nation is plundered. We will fight for our rights, our resources, and our future. On December 7, 2024, let us vote for change. Let us vote for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC. Let us reclaim our beloved Ghana.

The time is now. The power is ours. Let us act with courage and determination to secure a brighter future for all Ghanaians.
