Board Chairman threatens to remove SIC-FSL MD for petitioning gov’t

In a new twist of events, the Board Chairman, Mr. Jonathan Dziasu and Board members have threatened to remove the Managing Director for filing a petition with the government against them.
In a trending WhatsApp chat picked by our news team, there seems to be a heated conversation between the MD, Dr. Sa-ad Iddrisu and the board members, with the Managing Director insisting he is not moved by any intimidation or threats for doing the right thing.
As you recall, on Tuesday, December 02, 2025, some staff of SIC-FSL confirmed of a crisis between the Managing Director and the Board Chairman and Board Members, leading to the Managing Director filing a petition to the government against them.
This hasn’t gone down well with the board chairman and board members, who are now threatening to remove the Managing Director for instigating for the right things to be done at SIC-FSL.
The situation is reported to have originated from a recent restructuring exercise initiated by the Managing Director, which involved the reassignment of some management staff appointed by the former Managing Director under the previous NPP administration. This led to the Managing Director filing a petition to the government against the board chairman and the board.
According to some of the staff spoken to, whilst the Managing Director had travelled out of the country, the Board Chairman subsequently convened a board meeting in his absence to reverse all the out-of-Accra transfers he did for the former management staff under the previous NPP administration.
Below is the trending WhatsApp screenshot intercepted by our media team, showing the threats to the Managing Director.
