Explain your deals at Ghana Post – Sam George to Obour

Communication Minister, Sam George, has strongly rebuked Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly known as Obour, over his comments on the recent dismissal of workers at Ghana Post.
Obour, the former Managing Director of Ghana Post, had called for a review of the decision, stating that the recruitment process was transparent and followed due procedure.
However, Sam George’s response was a clear indication that he is not buying into Obour’s claims of a fair recruitment process. Instead, he shifted the focus to Obour’s tenure as Managing Director of Ghana Post, hinting at some shady deals that need to be explained.
“Obour has offered to help. His offer is welcome. Not to explain post-December 7th, 2024, recruitment but rather the shady deals he engaged in as MD of Ghana Post,” Sam George stated.
Sam George further emphasized, “He would have his hands full soon in explaining his deeds at Ghana Post. He should exercise some patience.”
In a separate interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen program, Obour maintained that the recruitment process was transparent and followed all necessary procedures.
“The due processes were followed with the recruitment process, and I believe he will rescind the decision if he goes through the documents. So, I will plead with him,” Obour said.
It’s worth noting that Ghana Post, under Obour’s leadership, faced criticism over an alleged GH¢4.1 million extravagant expenditure on the Otumfuo commemorative stamp launched in honor of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. This development adds more fuel to the fire, as Sam George’s allegations of shady deals gain more credibility.
