Ghana’s First Ever BECE Home Mock Examination Starts for 2026 BECE Candidates
Getting learners prepared for the BECE each year demands a lot of effort and sacrifice from parents, teachers and schools. To further make the preparation of candidates better and tailored towards success, Ghana’s first ever BECE Home Mock Examination which started in April 2022 has been launched for would be 2026 BECE candidates.
With the WAEC administered BECE exam scheduled to be administered from 4th to 11th May, 2026, the BECE Home Mock which is a special examination administered to candidates in their respective homes has been launched by Education-News Consult, the organizers.
The 2025-2026 education of the home based exam was launched in August 2025 with the first of a series of home assessments to be carried out.
Speaking to the Today.com.gh portal, the organizers disclosed that the examination since 2022 has produced BECE grades between 8 ones and aggregate 15 for many of the students who take the examination.
The examination which has become part of the BECE preparation calendar is also accessed by schools due to the high quality standard of the mock.
Parents who want to have independent assessment and preparation for their wards can enroll the candidates in this all important assessment.
Speaking to the Today.com.gh portal, the Team Lead of Education-News Consult, Mr. Wisdom Hammond disclosed that “The mock examination administered to learner in their homes means the location of a parent in Ghana is no barrel to quality test and assessment towards BECE success.”
He furthered that, the mock was the result of extensive research carried out by the team before the service was birthed in April 2022. The examination is based on the Education-News Consult internally projected topics.

Mr. Hammond was quick to add that, the consult does not believe in leaked examination questions and cheating as the best means for passing the BECE and that, its examination helps candidates to master their subjects, how to answer BECE questions, how to revise using the mock examination among others.
The examination also helps feel the gap in school based preparation and mocks for parents and candidates enrolled in the programme.
