Julius Debrah hails ‘active’ participation at Kwahu Business Summit

Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Julius Debrah, has praised what he described as “active participation” at the just-ended Kwahu Business Summit.
Speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, expressed gratitude to partners, sponsors, institutions, and businesses whose involvement ensured the success of the summit.
“I extend sincere appreciation to our partners, sponsors, institutions, and the many businesses whose active participation made this year’s Forum a success,” he stated in an appreciation message issued after the event.
Debrah commended stakeholders for their strong engagement, noting that the forum once again transformed the Kwahu mountains into a centre of enterprise, innovation, and collaboration.
“From dynamic exhibitions to high-level discussions and strategic networking, the Forum brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs,” he said, adding that participants were “all united by a shared commitment to advancing Ghana’s economic transformation.”
The Kwahu Business Forum, held annually, serves as a national platform aimed at stimulating business growth by connecting entrepreneurs, policymakers, and investors while unlocking opportunities for investment and expansion.
Debrah emphasised that this year’s engagements reinforced the forum’s importance in driving partnerships and supporting local enterprises.
“This year’s engagements reaffirm the Forum’s critical role in fostering partnerships, unlocking investment opportunities, and supporting the growth of local enterprises,” he noted.
He further stressed the need for a more value-driven economic approach, cautioning that Ghana’s long-term growth prospects depend on adding value to its raw materials rather than exporting them in their primary state.
According to him, industrialisation and value addition remain central to building a resilient and inclusive economy.
“A strong example of what can be achieved when government and the private sector work together with purpose and clarity,” Debrah said, pointing to the collaboration witnessed during the summit.
He also thanked participants who attended the event in Kwahu, expressing optimism about the future of Ghana’s economy.
“To all who joined us on the mountain this year, we say thank you. Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive Ghanaian economy,” he added.
