Ken Agyapong will rival or surpass Nkrumah’s record if elected – Palgrave 

The National Coordinator of the OAK for President Movement, Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, has expressed strong confidence in the leadership potential of New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

He believes Mr. Agyapong has the vision and determination to rival or even surpass the record of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, if elected to lead the nation.

Speaking on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM’s Frontline programme, Dr. Boakye-Danquah described the former Assin Central Member of Parliament as a resilient and transformational leader capable of driving Ghana’s next phase of development. He likened Mr. Agyapong to the Oak tree, one of the world’s longest-living and strongest species, symbolising endurance, firmness, and foresight.

He noted that the OAK for President Movement envisions Ghana becoming a hub of entrepreneurship and innovation, where citizens aged 17 and above can successfully start their own enterprises. According to him, Kennedy Agyapong’s vision is to create a business-friendly economy that prioritises job creation, wealth distribution, and self-reliance.

Dr. Boakye-Danquah further explained that Mr. Agyapong’s development plan is inspired by the Asian Miracle—a model of rapid industrial and economic transformation achieved by countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia between 1965 and 1990.

He said the presidential hopeful’s leadership style combines business acumen, discipline, and patriotism, adding that his focus on industrialisation and factory development could redefine Ghana’s economic landscape.

“Kennedy Agyapong is a politician who has demonstrated that he has the ability to transform this country to the point where he will beat the record of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah or be favourably compared to him,” Dr. Boakye-Danquah stated.

He concluded that if given the mandate, Mr. Agyapong would prioritise large-scale industrialisation by establishing factories across key sectors to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and make Ghana a shining example of transformation in Africa.
