Mahama reiterates Resetting Ghana agenda in Christmas message

President John Dramani Mahama has used his Christmas message to reaffirm his administration’s Resetting Ghana policy agenda, outlining governance and economic priorities aimed at steering the country toward inclusive growth and long-term prosperity.
In a message shared on his Facebook page on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, President Mahama expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for the confidence placed in his leadership, describing the festive season as an opportunity to renew national commitment to economic recovery, accountability, and shared progress. The message marks his first Christmas address since returning to office.
The President said his government remains focused on reviving the economy through prudent management, completing stalled development projects, and expanding infrastructure to ensure that growth reaches all segments of society. He noted that the Resetting Ghana Agenda is intended to reposition the country by restoring productivity and creating opportunities, particularly for young people.
According to President Mahama, the administration is committed to building an economy that works for every Ghanaian, stressing that sustainable development can only be achieved through collaboration between government and citizens. He added that the values of hope, unity, and collective responsibility symbolised by Christmas should inspire national efforts to overcome current economic challenges.
“It’s my first Christmas with you, as your come-back President and I am filled with gratitude for the trust you have placed in my government,” the President stated in the message. “We are committed to the #ResettingGhana Agenda to position Ghana on a path of inclusive growth, job creation, accountability, and prosperity.”
President Mahama further emphasised that the government will continue working tirelessly to revive the economy, complete stalled projects, and expand critical infrastructure across the country. He said these efforts are aimed at improving living standards and ensuring that no citizen is left behind in the country’s development process.
“As we work, together, tirelessly to revive our economy, complete stalled projects, expand our infrastructure, and build a Ghana that works for every citizen, let us draw inspiration from the hope that Christmas brings,” the message added.
The President concluded by encouraging Ghanaians to remain united and optimistic as the government pursues its Resetting Ghana agenda, expressing confidence that collective effort and shared sacrifice would place the nation on a stronger footing for the future.
