May Day: Workers’ contribution is backbone of Ghana’s development – Dr. Pelpuo
The Minister for Labour, Jobs, and Employment, Hon. Dr. Abdul Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, has extended his heartfelt appreciation to all Ghanaian workers for their dedication, resilience, and hard work that continue to drive the nation forward.
In a message from the Ministry of Labour, Jobs, and Employment, Dr. Pelpuo acknowledged the significant contribution of workers to Ghana’s development.
“On this very important day, today, the May Day, which is Workers’ Day, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all Ghanaian workers whose dedication, resilience, and hard work continue to drive our nation forward,” Dr. Pelpuo stated.
As Ghana commemorates Labour Day, Dr. Pelpuo emphasized the importance of reflecting on the progress made together and renewing the collective commitment to decent work, fair wages, and safe working conditions for all. The government, he assured, remains steadfast in advancing policies that promote job creation, protect workers’ rights, and ensure dignity in labor.
“Happy Labour Day to every worker across Ghana,” Dr. Pelpuo wished. “Your contribution is the backbone of our development and a future path.”
Dr. Pelpuo concluded by invoking God’s blessings on workers, saying, “God bless you all as you move our nation forward and give us the development we require.” He wished them the best and expressed gratitude for their hard work and dedication.
