Mother’s Day: Chief of Staff celebrates mothers’ invaluable role

Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Julius Debrah, has paid tribute to mothers across Ghana, praising their sacrifices and contributions to families and national development.
The Chief of Staff shared a Mother’s Day graphic message on his social media platforms to commemorate the celebration and acknowledge the role mothers continue to play in society.
In the message, Mr. Debrah extended warm wishes and heartfelt appreciation to mothers for what he described as their endless love, sacrifice, strength, and dedication to their families and the nation.
He stated that mothers continue to shape lives through their care, guidance, and unwavering support, adding that their efforts help build a better future for the country.
“Today, we celebrate your invaluable role and the remarkable impact you make every day,” the message read.
The Mother’s Day artwork, which featured images of mothers interacting with their children, also conveyed prayers for happiness, good health, peace, and abundant joy for all mothers.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers,” the statement added.
Mother’s Day is observed in many countries around the world as a moment to honour mothers and appreciate their contributions to homes, communities, and national growth. In Ghana, the occasion is often marked with messages from political leaders, religious organisations, institutions, and families celebrating motherhood and maternal care.
Mr. Debrah’s message has since attracted reactions on social media, with several users commending the gesture and sharing their own tributes to mothers and caregivers.
Others used the opportunity to highlight the challenges many mothers face, including balancing family responsibilities with economic pressures and professional duties.
The celebration comes at a time when discussions around family welfare, women’s empowerment, and child development continue to feature prominently in national conversations.
As families across the country mark the annual occasion, many mothers are being recognised for their dedication, resilience, and commitment to raising children and supporting their households despite difficult circumstances.
The Chief of Staff’s message formed part of the growing stream of goodwill messages shared nationwide in honour of mothers and their enduring impact on society.
