NDC Chairmanship race: We need Oppong-Fosu, someone who is principled – PV. Jantuah

Former Presidential Staffer, Jantuah Boateng Dadson, says the National Democratic Congress (NDC) needs a disciplined and principled person like Dr. Kwasi Oppong-Fosu to serve as the party’s next National Chairman.

Speaking on Akye TV, Mr. Dadson said the party requires a chairman who can uphold its core values and ensure fairness and equal opportunities for all members.

“We need a National Chairman who is disciplined. A National Chairman who is highly principled and will make sure that the core values of the party are upheld,” he said.

He added that the party needed a chairman who would not operate based on personal relationships or “play to the gallery,” but would instead ensure equal access and opportunities for all party members.

“We need a National Chairman who will not play to the gallery and say, on a friendship basis, but a National Chairman who will ensure equal access and equal opportunities,” he added.

According to Mr. Dadson, former Local Government Minister, Kwesi Oppong-Fosu is the right person to lead the party as its next National Chairman.

“And if you ask me who that person is, I will right away mention Kwesi Oppong-Fosu. I am endorsing Kwesi Oppong-Fosu. If you want to move our party to the next level, you should look no further,” he said.

Mr. Dadson further expressed confidence in Mr. Oppong-Fosu, stating that “nobody will regret voting for him” if he is given the nod.

The NDC is expected to elect its National Chairman and other national executives at the party’s National Delegates Congress scheduled for December 19, 2026.
